Chris is now entering his 7th year as Director of Campus Recreation here at American International College. He has developed the Rec Sports program from the ground up starting in 2004 with a few intramural sports. Over the years he has developed a well rounded Rec Sports program that includes intramurals, club sports, group exercise instruction classes, club sports, personal training, and outdoor adventure programming. The Rec sports program has become one of the most populated student programs here on campus.
Prior to working at AIC, Chris was the Graduate Assistant for Intramurals at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT from 2002-2004. Originally, from Cranston, RI, Mercurio graduated from Quinnipiac in 2002 with a B.S. in Accounting and in 2004 with his M.B.A. He also serves as the liason for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee here at AIC and has served as the Assistant Tournament Director for the NCAA Division 2 Men’s Elite Eight since 2006.
Josh Macy, Coordinator of Club Sports/Head Men’s and Women’s Rugby Coach

Josh is entering his third year at American International College coaching both the men’s and women’s rugby teams. In just two year’s time, he has developed rugby into the one of the most popular sports at AIC and hosts 70 athletes within his program. He is proud of the diversity, unity and quick success of his programs. He is 36-6-1 (.837) in three seasons of play.
Before accepting his position at AIC, Josh was the Assistant Director of the Inter-American School in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. In addition to his work in education, Josh founded the rugby league in Guatemala and started its first rugby club. He was also featured as the first captain of the Jaguares—the Guatemalan national rugby team. In addition to Rugby and Club Sports, Josh also helps out with the outdoor club and outdoor recreation at AIC.
Josh received his B.S. in Recreation Studies in 2005 from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, hails from Fredericksburg, VA, and is happily married to his wife Lorrie.
